Jeb Barry next up at BOOM on North…

Posted: Sunday, February 19, 2017 – by Tom Conklin

Jeb Barry will perform at Hotel on North as part of our ongoing ‘BOOM on North’ music series on Thursday, February 23rd from 5 to 6 PM. It’s a relaxing hour of music in the lounge. Grab a drink and come on into the lounge and hang out with us.

“…Jeb Barry is one of those singer-songwriters that could have been sitting around the dining room table with Steve Earle, Guy Clark, Larry Jon Wilson and all the rest of them in ‘Heartworn Highway’….. it is hard to think of anything more authentically American than wandering into The Bluebird Café in Nashville and catching a set from Jeb ….”

BOOM TV makes its PCTV debut…

Posted: Thursday, February 16, 2017 – by Tom Conklin

BOOM TV has arrived! We have been working on the concept for this show for some time and now the first episode is airing in its regular slot on PCTV’s Access Pittsfield channel. The show will air on Fridays at 9:30 pm and will occasionally be shown in other bonus time slots. The show is also available On-Demand at www.pittsfieldtv.org. The first episode features the music of local singer/songwriter Alan Monasch, as well as an interview with producer and BOOM co-founder Sandy McKnight. Our unique “spy-cam” view gives you an inside look at the interview process and also some unedited out-takes. We are working on more fun features that will be part of future episodes! We will also soon have a dedicated BOOM TV page here that will feature the current show and an archive of past shows.

BOOM is dedicated to increasing the viability and visibility of original music in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. We are a non-profit company, part of Columbia Arts Team.

Our mission is to highlight, showcase, and cultivate the original music scene in Berkshire County and environs. This includes promoting local venues that feature local original music; providing access to information about the music business, songwriting, and other important subjects of interest to area musicians; and coordinating resources within the region, including local media, in order to promote local original music and encourage the patronage and support of the community at large.
