Nappy Martin Great Barrington, MA

Nappy Martin

I began playing in late-60s New Jersey and composing in late-70s New Orleans. Most of my work betrays strong influences from Malt Shop and British Invasion, with a generous smattering of folk.
Over the past ten years I’ve been sending the arrangements I want to YouTube, in quite a few betraying yet another influence: I was third-parting Everly Brothers when The Beatles were still Silver.
Earlier in this decade I played some 45 gigs with a 60s covers band that was decidedly vocals driven and usually in three parts, singing many leads. I had been brought in mostly to tighten the seams, however, and continued to do so effectively while the need dominated our set list.
I am a member of Fandalism and a devout fan of The Kinks.

My favorite band is The Kinks.
