goodgood combines the softer side of the 90s Manchester music scene with a casual West Coast acoustic delivery. Bittersweet songwriting, seamless vocal chemistry, and rhythmic ingenuity from Sarah McNair (vocals, ukulele), David Edge (guitar, vocals), Jackie Sedlock (vocals and sundry,) and Jason McNair (acoustic bass) blend into a unique musical geography. Sarah McNair sings with easy intimacy and intensity, at times taking the lead with her ukulele and then falling back into ethereal harmony. Guitarist and singer, David Edge, writes and plays like the native of Manchester, England, that he is—naturally combining driving guitar rhythm with brooding British lyrics. Jackie Sedlock swoops down from her mountain redoubt in Vermont to share her arcing voice. Acoustic bass, bowed with elegance and dexterously banged out, anchors Good Good’s music through the creativity and force of Jason McNair’s giant hands.
